ABOUT Nature Smile
Frozen Treats
Nature Smile offers gourmet bean pies and frozen treats, known as Water Ice or Sorbet. Water Ice, a dairy-free frozen dessert made with sweetened water or fruit juice, stands out for its refreshing properties and versatile use. Their Bean Pies are a unique take on tradition, made with white navy beans, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. The pies offer a sweet and savoury experience while introducing additional protein and fibre to the dessert.
Nature Smile’s mission is simple – to put a smile on their customers’ faces. Khadijah and her team are dedicated to transforming the dessert experience by directly providing consumers with refreshing flavours. Nature Smile has been recognized for its focus on quality and innovation. You can find its products by the riverside, downtown Windsor, and at various events. On warm days, watch for their red and white ice cream cart.
About The Founder
Khadijah Akbar
Khadijah Akbar is a proud Toronto native born to Trinidadian parents. In pursuit of her entrepreneurship dreams, she boldly moved from Toronto to Windsor, where she established Nature Smile Frozen Treats in 2021. During the challenging times of the COVID season, Khadijah and her partner harnessed their creativity and passion to give birth to Nature Smile Frozen Treats—a haven for unique, fun, and enjoyable comfort foods.
She is an enthusiast of basketball and cruiser bikes, finding joy in the dynamic energy of sports and the freedom of the open road. Her family’s rich culinary heritage, where her grandmothers crafted delightful drinks, laid the foundation for her love of creating and savouring flavours.
