Advisors

Advisors are experienced professionals from a range of industry backgrounds who support Black entrepreneurs with targeted advice to support them in developing their businesses through structured services that deliver practical, tangible results. Advisors are paid by SWOBEN for their delivery of their services. To become an Advisor, interested professionals must formally apply and go through an intake process. Black professionals are especially encouraged to join SWOBEN as advisors.

Advisory Services for Participants

As part of the entrepreneurial journey, entrepreneurs must leverage the insight and expertise of different industry professionals. In order to remove a barrier that early stage startups face, SWOBEN helps Black entrepreneurs by covering certain costs related to retaining professional support. In order to access business advisory services through SWOBEN, participants must formally be enrolled in the Network and have their needs assessed by Network coordinators.
